Sr. HVAC Estimator/Project Manager
Expected to operate independently, set priorities, and resolve competing needs to provide timely information and solve problems. This position will focus on generating detailed cost estimates and creating bid scopes of work. Estimating tasks include material takeoff, equipment selection, development of cost estimate, and scope of work. Handle all project responsibilities from doing the buyout, processing submittals, processing RFI, billings, managing labor, and doing closeouts
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors
- Provide clear and detailed cost estimates and quantity take offs from drawings
- Create cost estimates consisting of materials, purchased equipment, and labor to assist in bidding or determining the project price for new construction and tenant finish projects
- Review mechanical drawings for incoming quote requests
- Understand scope of HVAC work to bid
- Prepare job takeoffs
- Formulate cost break downs to include costs associated with material and all labor categories from estimates
- Review all engineered submittals ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and customer expectations and location standards
- Develop and manage overall job activities, including schedule manpower, equipment, and material
- Coordinate timely ordering and delivery of materials per budget
- Track materials to ensure schedules are maintained
- Manage job site employees to ensure efficient operations
