HVAC Service Manager – Charlotte North Carolina

COMPANY is seeking a Service Manager for our Charlotte, North Carolina location. In this role you will be responsible for the overall business results for your assigned team(s) and for the safety and supervision of Service Technicians who repair, retrofit, or replace HVAC systems and related controls. Additionally, you will be responsible for the training and development of the team Field Technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and evaluate area safety needs/requirements
  • Accountable for the profit and loss of the performance of the Field Team
  • Responsible for strategically training and developing HVAC field technicians
  • Review technicians’ work and accompanying service reports
  • Provide oversight with branch Service Coordinator in scheduling, organizing, and dispatching HVAC Field Technicians
  • Interact with customers and contribute to the growth and sustainability of our customer portfolio
  • Answer customer questions/special requests and advise key buying decisions
  • Prepare for on-site installations and repairs by proactively anticipating challenges, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary
  • Utilize our operating system to pull data for reports, financial performance, forecasting, presentations, and/or special projects
  • Gather data and provide cost review in the preparation of quotes for equipment repairs and/or replacement at customers’ locations
  • Review monthly service profitability report to improve service performance

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, direct, and mentor the service teams
  • Plan, assign, and direct work of service team staff
  • Conduct performance reviews, and rewards/disciplines employees as necessary
  • Address internal/external complaints and resolves problems

Job Requirements/Special Skills:

  • Ability to translate detailed instructions into action items
  • Ability to work both individually and in a team environment
  • Proficiency in operating systems and corresponding internal platforms
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Ability to work overtime and occasional weekend (as needed)
  • Infrequent overnight travel may be required
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills
