Job Title: HVAC Project Manager
Company Description:
We are a Georgia based mechanical contractor and have been in business for over 30 years. We self –perform installation of piping, chillers, AHU, cooling towers, pumps, etc., and subcontract sheet metal, insulation and control work. Pipe includes copper, PVC, carbon steel, various acid resistant plastics, cast iron and ductile iron. Joints include threaded, welded, mechanical. Mostly comprised of mechanical and plumbing work, projects are commercial, institutional and industrial and range from $100k to $15M.
Job Description:
We are seeking a project manager with at least 5+ years’ experience in the mechanical contracting business. Projects include commercial, institutional and industrial. Most of our projects are located throughout the Atlanta Metro Area.
Required Skill/Responsibilities:
- Handle all project responsibilities from doing the buyout, processing submittals, processing RFI, billings, managing labor, and doing closeouts
- Ability to handle multiple projects at one time as well as manage up a certain monetary value related to projects
- Provide input to sales and operations regarding the technical and business considerations for construction or direct owner projects
- Review all engineered submittals ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and customer expectations and location standards
- Develop and manage overall job activities, including schedule manpower, equipment, and material
- Coordinate timely ordering and delivery of materials per budget
- Track materials to ensure schedules are maintained
- Manage job site employees to ensure efficient operations
- Thorough knowledge of HVAC system design and installation

- Ability to review CAD Drawings
- Experience utilizing Autobid, Bluebeam and Procore
Required:
- 5+ years’ experience as HVAC Project Manager (7-10 is preferred)
- Experience working directly for a mechanical contractor
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Additional HVAC Certifications
- Existing relationships and local contacts
- Experience using BIM software along with Procore
- Experience with Prime Contracting work
- Experience with estimating
