Submittal Engineer for DDC/Energy Management Systems
We install building automation and energy management control systems in commercial office buildings, schools, hospitals, colleges and government buildings.
Full-time duties included but not limited to:
- Understanding of design documents, company standards, and coordination with sales team
- Creating control drawings in VISIO
- Ensuring proper electrical wiring diagrams
- System architecture and layout
- Drafting sequence of operations
- Communicating with programmer, project manager, and sales engineer to ensure proper scope of work
- Coordination with internal and external customers
- Creating bill of materials
- Wiring termination and panel layout detailing
- Documentation of as-built manuals
- >95% of job is performed in an office environment. Minimal field work. We allow for hybrid office and home work schedules.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Service driven attitude
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC control systems
- Experience with MEP plan/spec interpretation and application
- Ability to survey existing facility systems
- Excellent writing skills
- Responsiveness to customers and coworkers
- Experience with drawings and or computer graphics
- Strong sense of urgency
- Well organized and able to multi-task
- Teamwork and strong problem solving abilities
