Responsibilities –
A key member of the team, the Commissioning Technician will be responsible for providing field commissioning for HVAC Automation projects. This person shall take a drawing package and run thru the systems in the field to confirm sequence of operation and point to point confirmation of the HVAC automation project. Checking wiring and end devices to provide the customer with a working system. Work side by side with other team members to include:
- Review of project specifications, drawings and project specific documents before the start of your work.
- Breakdown of scope of work into manageable segments and post to Project Manager for
- Attend or receive meeting minutes from project team meeting with
- Keep the Project Manager up to date with site conditions.
- Production of project specific as-builts based upon initial project construction drawings and field modification mark-ups.
- Cooperation in the establishment and enforcement of engineering and programming
- Troubleshoot issues in the field related to the systems we install and service.
- Maintain the highest quality and customer satisfaction on all projects.
Qualifications –
- Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science is desired. Would consider trade school or similar program.
- Two (2) years’ experience with the production of DDC / BAS If not we would train the right candidate.
- Experience with Tridium and Alerton or another BAS line
- Understanding of mechanical HVAC equipment preferred.
- Understanding of electrical and network wiring preferred.
- Understanding of standard BAS components and programming of these components preferred.
- Excellent computer skills and intimate familiarity with MS-Office products (Word, Excel, Access). We would like you to have some AutoCAD, Visual Basic, Visio and Alerton/Tridium product experience preferred but it is not required.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- You must have a valid driver’s license from the State of Florida
- Able to pass back ground check
