Building Automation System (BAS) Sales Executive

The Building Automations Sales Executive will provide clients with outstanding, quality service. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to, generating revenue by developing market potential through forecasting, lead generation, qualification and closing sales; recommending new products and services.
Skills/Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have three-five years of outside sales experience selling Building Automation Systems, DDC Controls, Lighting Controls and Energy Management Systems.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or similar field preferred. Candidates with High School Diploma, state-recognized high school proficiency exam, or state-recognized GED will be considered with acceptable experience.
- Credential including LEED GA?AP, CEM, FE or PE.
- He/she should have a record of successfully achieving or exceeding their sales quota.
- The correct candidate for this position will have excellent cold calling and relationship building skills and can identify and seek out business with new and existing customers.
- HAVC, Construction or Service Industry experience required.
- Previous experience with sales to Consulting Engineers, Mechanical Contractors and Owners.
- Understanding of Tridium/Niagara & Distech Controls is preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, reading , organizational and negotiation skills necessary.
- Excellent initiative and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License in good standing.
- Ability to travel to customer sites and industry events as needed.
- Strong computer skills specifically with Microsoft Windows, Power Point, Word & Excel.
Job Duties
- Identifies market potential by qualifying accounts and opportunities.
- Initiates sales process by scheduling appointments; understanding customer requirements, developing the correct technical solution and conducting presentation and proposal reviews.
- Closes sales by building rapport with potential clients; explaining product and service capabilities and overcoming objections.
- Expands sales in existing accounts by introducing new products and service; developing new applications.
- Develop high-level relationships within A/E, Contractor and End User Accounts to win incremental product and service business.
- Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, project management and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project delivery and execution.
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline to support sales targets, track progress and ensure timely follow-up with prospects and customers.
- Participate in trade shows and other industry events to promote our solutions and generate new leads.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in building automation and management systems, sharing knowledge and best practices with the team.
