Job Description:
This employment opportunity is for a full-time position that involves working with Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Building Operation (EBO) Control systems. The majority of this work will occur in the field, either at a customer’s building or at a construction site. The technician’s primary responsibility will be programming, creating graphics, establishing communications between controllers, point-to-point verification, commissioning, setting up operator workstations with all associated software, customer training, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining assigned projects. As the technician gains more experience, they will be involved in transition and software update projects. This includes working with Schneider’s legacy product lines of TAC, I/Net, Tridium Niagara, IA, and Andover Continuum. While experience with any of these systems is advantageous, it is not mandatory. We provide training on the Schneider systems, but applicants must have prior control experience.
Job Requirements:
• Three years prior experience servicing and/or starting up commercial building automation systems.
• Understanding different types of mechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in control calibration and testing tools
• Self-motivated, capable of working independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to understand control and mechanical drawings, sequence of operation, electrical schematics, and circuitry.
• Flexible to work overtime/weekends when needed to meet customers’ deadlines or requirements.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of BACnet control systems.
• Strong IT background
• Prior experience in control programming and creating graphics.
• Physically capable of climbing stairs and ladders.
• Current U.S. Citizen
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must be able to pass Pennsylvania background checks (Act 33, 34 & 73)
