BAS Engineer – St. Louis Missouri

Description: As a leader in the design and installation of DDC for HVAC systems, we are seeking qualified and motivated design engineer to support our growth in St. Louis and the surrounding area. All full-time employees are provided with a comprehensive package of salary and benefits.
 
Responsibilities: Applicants must be flexible in their capabilities as to perform the following tasks:

  • Design and configure building control systems as defined by the contract documents. 
  • Creates flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts and electrical schematics as required
  • Support technicians by ensuring the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of designs
  • Performs value engineering to provide cost effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction – when applicable
  • Work with Project Managers to provide detailed questions for RFIs
  • Develop, revise, and redline project drawings
  • Provide technical support to other departments 
  • Collaborate with team members during project design 
  • Consistent and clear communication with customers and employees 
  • Ensure timely, effective, and complete execution of work performed

 
Experience/Job Skills –
This position requires a high-functioning, results-oriented, self-motivated professional with the ability to adapt and execute a variety of complex tasks.
Must have initiative and a significant amount of judgement to solve problems. 

  • Vocational School or an Associate’s degree in applicable field of study. Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years working in the DDC industry.
  • Experience in design engineering preferrable.
  • Highly proficient in understanding and designing electrical schematics.
  • Highly proficient in electrical and mechanical engineering concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of control system design principles and techniques.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and attention to details.
  • AutoCad and/or Visio experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Johnson Controls and/or Distech Controls programming and design is a plus.
  • Understanding of various industry protocols, such as BACNet, N2, Modbus, etc.
  • Positive attitude with a desire to advance in the company
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.         Valid Driver’s License
