ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our outstanding team of project professionals! As a member of our Project Management Team, you will collaborate with stakeholders and manage the development and implementation of various building control systems that result in award-winning HVAC and power monitoring systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. Building Automation and Controls experience is required for this position. We are making massive moves to grow the business and want to add new members to the Project Management team who bring a responsive and confident approach to project management. Responsibilities include:
- Determine and define project scope and objectives.
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner. Bring a structured but open minded approach to anticipating and responding to challenges. Focus on the goal and feel and foster healthy competition in the team to see outstanding results
- Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
- Track project costs to meet budget
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan. make dynamic adjustments in response to roadblocks or changes
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Communication should be direct, accurate, professional and show confidence in the company and your capabilities’.
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables. Strive to be responsive and build strong relationships.
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
- Monitor progress and adjust as needed
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement, actively adjust your approach in response to the results of analyzing past items.
- Ability to over communicate the status/progress of all the projects to the internal team members and customers. Show traits of sociability and cooperation and take an active roll in leading to hit goals
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field
- 5-8 years of project management and related building automation, systems integration and/or temperature controls experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle using an orderly and procedural approach that provides reliable results.
- Excellent analytical skills – to addressing concerns
- Strong interpersonal skills, friendly and supportive with coworkers and professional and personable with outside parties.
- Clear communicator and extremely versatile in finding a way to meet needs
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, timeline and with high customer satisfaction
