Job Title: Building Automation Graphics Programmer

We are looking for a creative and detail-driven Building Automation Graphics Programmer to develop high-quality user interface graphics for building automation systems (BAS). The ideal candidate will have experience creating intuitive and visually engaging system graphics, with a strong preference for those certified in Tridium Niagara 4 (N4). This role is key in ensuring that building operators and facility managers have clear, user-friendly dashboards to monitor and control HVAC, lighting, energy, and other integrated systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for building automation systems using Tridium N4 and other platforms.
  • Create floor plans, system schematics, and interactive dashboards to display real-time system data.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, sequence of operations, and control submittals to translate into accurate graphical representations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure graphics align with control logic and customer expectations.
  • Modify and update graphics as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support commissioning efforts by verifying data point integrity and ensuring graphical functionality.
  • Follow project schedules and deliver high-quality graphics packages on time and within budget.
  • Maintain a consistent and clean visual style across projects, while accommodating custom client requests.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a company graphics library and templates.
  • Stay current with Tridium updates, graphic design trends, and best practices in BAS UI/UX.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tridium Niagara 4 (N4) Certification strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in BAS graphics programming or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Tridium Workbench and HTML5-based graphical design.
  • Familiarity with other BAS platforms (e.g., Johnson Controls, Alerton, Siemens, Distech) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation sequences.
  • Experience using graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent visual design sensibility.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
