Job Title: Building Automation Technician
Job Description: We are seeking an Controls Technician to join our Building Automation Group in the Columbus area. Our technicians are responsible for the successful installation of building automation systems. They represent our organization to our customers, other contractors, fellow employees, and our community in a professional manner. They are effective leaders and communicators, who resolve disputes and negotiate mutually beneficial solutions, and exhibit ownership for their projects.
Essential Job Functions:
· Assist in and perform checkout, start-up and testing of BMS DDC controllers serving a wide variety of mechanical systems in Data Centers and other critical environments.
· Assist in Start-up, configuring graphical user interfaces, including BMS servers, control panel touchscreen displays.
· Assist in building BMS control panels, installing controllers, point blocks, relays, transmitters, terminal blocks.
· Track project materials and perform/coordinate delivery and transfer to subcontractors
· Communicate with and provide daily updates and status reports to both the Project Lead and Project Manager.
· Coordinate with and communicate directly to the customer and other contractors in a professional manner.
· Document project status and participate in the creation and accuracy of close-out documents.
· Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
