Job Title: HVAC Estimator/Inside Sales Engineer

Job Description:
As an Estimator/ISE, you will support the Commercial business by providing technical support to our customers. This includes, but is not limited to, plans and specification takeoffs and quotations, responding to customer purchase orders by checking inventory and placing orders with our order department, preparation of submittals for submission to the installing HVAC contractor, product application support for our commercial customers and responding to customer inquiries. The ISE is the primary backup for the Residential Account Managers and plays an integral role in increasing volume with their existing accounts. You will also be the primary point of contact for all our commercial ancillary products.

The ISE will be the product expert in these products and will be responsible for all quotations and submittals to our commercial Sales Engineers and residential Account Managers. This role provides immediate and invaluable experience as the ISE is an integral part of the sales team. The work environment is fast paced and hands on, requiring the ISE to multitask several projects at once. Marketing, specification, selection and sales. Support the Outside Sales organization by providing technical support and application information. Seek new business opportunities by responding to new customers’ inquiries and the marketing of new products and services. The Estimator/Inside Sales Engineer will provide customer sales and support for Commercial contractor sales of HVAC equipment and HVAC parts, and supplies. This individual will be responsible for configuring, pricing, and quoting technical and financial solutions that position us as a viable solution for the customer and marketplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
Respond to Business Opportunities: Respond to new business opportunities based on sales leads from Account or Sales Managers and generate quotes for commercial sales with assigned accounts.

Support Sales Team: Assist Account Managers and Sales Managers with new and existing accounts and introduce new products to Engineers and Mechanical Contractors.

Complete Bids and Submittals: Complete bids, submittals, and take-offs based on plan reviews and specifications in support of commercial sales.

Follow-Up: Follow up on quotes, bids, and submittals to finalize the sale.

Customer Interaction: Engage extensively with customers, manufacturers, and the sales team via phone and email.

Training: Assist with training for our Commercial dealers as needed.

Issue Resolution: Resolve customer issues in alignment with the company’s mission, values, and financial objectives.

Identify Sales Opportunities: Identify and communicate customer needs and sales opportunities to drive future growth.

Travel: Travel as needed with the Sales Team to support presentations and trade show activities.

Requirements:

  • Recent college graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering interest in technical sales and marketing, or Engineering graduate with 3-5 years’ experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Prior experience in the HVAC Industry is a plus but not required.
