Responsibilities and Duties:

Project Profitability & Timeliness:
- Responsible for the overall profitability of assigned projects, ensuring that all requirements are met and timelines are adhered to.
- Ensure timely billing, change orders, collections, and other administrative tasks are completed for each project.
- Keep management informed on all project issues, updates, and potential risks.

Job Cost & Status Analysis:
- Review monthly job cost, status, manpower, and change order reports to assess project performance.
- Conduct regular monthly reviews of job costs to ensure accurate profitability analysis and resolve any project issues.

Communication & Troubleshooting:
- Collaborate with project superintendents, construction managers, and general contractors to resolve project-related issues.
- Communicate effectively with project teams, administrative assistants, and other departments via meetings, emails, and memos.

Resource Coordination:
- Ensure the proper allocation of manpower and equipment for each job based on project needs.
- Oversee the buyout process, job closeouts, and project change orders to ensure all projects are completed to specification.

Job-Site Management:
- Conduct and attend weekly job-site visits and meetings to ensure project goals are being met.
- Ensure proper job setup, including contract review, estimated costs, and schedule of values, are done accurately and on time.

Project Reporting:
- Generate project manager reports and attend project management meetings as needed to ensure the smooth progression of projects.

Submittals & Purchasing:
- Track submittals for each project, generate purchase orders, and negotiate subcontracts and purchases to meet project requirements.

Miscellaneous:
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support the successful completion of projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience Required:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the HVAC trades.
- At least 5 years of prior project management experience in the plumbing and HVAC sectors.
Job Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- In-depth knowledge of general plumbing and piping installation.
- Strong math and basic accounting skills for managing budgets and estimating costs.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management software).
- Exceptional organizational skills, with an attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and contractors.
Education:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Journeyman Plumber license or equivalent experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of climbing onto/off equipment and ladders (extension/permanently attached ladder).
- Able to work at extreme heights.
- Comfortable working in varied weather conditions.
- Able to walk job sites with moving equipment and navigate construction zones
Special Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- OSHA 10 certification (or ability to obtain).
