Job Purpose:
As a BAS Service Technician, you will provide exceptional service and repair for customer building automation systems, ensuring their HVAC and control systems operate at peak efficiency.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Service and Repair: Provide timely and accurate diagnosis and repair of customer concerns, including on-call, emergency, and remote support as needed.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform inspections and maintenance tasks such as point-to-point checkout, sensor calibration, and database backup.
- Troubleshooting: Analyze system requirements and proactively identify problems in control systems to ensure optimum performance.
- System Adjustments: Ensure set-points, schedules, and sequences of operation are properly programmed for system efficiency and occupant comfort.
- Installations & Commissioning: Assist with system installations, start-ups, and commissioning when required.
- Documentation: Complete paperwork accurately and promptly, including obtaining customer signatures on service work orders.
- Customer Relationship Management: Keep the service department supervisor informed of any changes, customer concerns, or issues, and provide feedback on potential sales leads to the Sales Team.
Technical Skills & Education:
- At least 2 years of experience in building controls and automation, including troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of building management systems.
- Exposure to programming and proficiency with BACnet control systems and HVAC systems.
- A valid driver’s license issued by your state of residence in good standing.
