The HVAC Project/Service Manager should be able to work independently and handle all project responsibilities from doing the buyout, processing submittals, processing RFI, billings, managing labor, and doing closeouts. The project/service manager will need to be able to handle multiple projects at one time as well as manage up a certain monetary value related to projects.
- Manages and develops the Service staff, which includes hiring, terminating and disciplining of employees, scheduling employees, setting work priorities, conducting staff meetings, counseling employees, evaluating performance and directing work assignments to ensure effective production.
- Evaluates work load and schedules service work in a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes profits.
- Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ability to create and manage budgets.
- Provide input to sales and operations regarding the technical and business considerations for construction or direct owner projects
- Review all engineered submittals ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and customer expectations and location standards
- Develop and manage overall job activities, including schedule manpower, equipment, and material
- Coordinate timely ordering and delivery of materials per budget
- Track materials to ensure schedules are maintained
- Manage job site employees to ensure efficient operations
- Thorough knowledge of HVAC system design and installation
