The Building Automation Engineer/Estimator will design a complete Building Automation System including integration to other control sub-systems to meet the intent of the project requirements. This includes providing detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, subcontractors, and the field installation team.
- Design and configure technically complex Building Automation Systems as defined by the contract documents
- Create flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics as required
- Select material including DDC modules, field sensing, and control devices, dampers and valves to meet the project requirements, specifications, codes and customer standards
- Create cost estimates consisting of materials, purchased equipment, and labor to assist in bidding or determining the project price for renovations, retrofits, new installations, upgrades and change orders
