HVAC Controls Service Sales Account Manager

Summary
As an experienced HVAC Controls Service Sales Representative, you will be promoting the sale of solution-based controls maintenance programs to commercial, industrial, and institutional customers. The successful individual will be responsible for working with new customers to identify, promote and quote building controls maintenances, controls projects and building analytics that reduce energy consumption, improve operational reliability, and extend asset life cycle of customers’ controls systems. S/he is also responsible for the development of tactical business plans that identify and capitalize on local business opportunities in the market. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of commercial controls systems and should have a demonstrated track record in cold calling, identifying viable markets, and closing deals for commercial, industrial, and institutional accounts. The successful candidate must be highly motivated with a passion for relationship building and gaining new business opportunities. S/he is required to use independent judgement and exercise initiative in the identification and resolution of problems, which may result in customer dissatisfaction, loss of revenues or increased costs.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a thorough understanding of costs associated with owning, operating, and maintaining a building’s HVAC controls system and utilizes this knowledge to review those costs with prospects in the marketplace
- Work with leadership to analyzes building HVAC control systems to develop maintenance programs and project sales for new customers
- Prepare and conduct sales presentations to customers
- Generate proposals for controls maintenance contracts and projects
- Develop additional technical skills through on-going training and education
Qualifications:
- At least 5-7 years of related employment experience
- College degree or advanced education preferred
- Advanced knowledge of the HVAC controls industry
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Capacity to leverage communication and interpersonal skills to develop and enhance business relationships
